This is the second of the two beginner classes in the 4-part Sewing Series happening in May. The series takes place over three consecutive Mondays: 5/4, 5/11, and 5/18, with the final intermediate class held on Thursday, 5/21. You can join one, two, or all depending on what you want to accomplish!

This class builds directly on the foundations from Beginner I and introduces more structure, control, and refinement in your sewing practice.
You’ll learn how to work with seams, hems, and fabric alignment in a way that begins to bring clarity and intention to your pieces. From there, we’ll focus on how separate fabric pieces come together to create simple, functional forms.
The focus of this level is structure and repetition: learning how to create clean edges, consistent seams, and a stronger sense of how fabric behaves once it starts to take shape.
You’ll be able to complete a small finished project if you decide to take only this class. If you decide to attend more in this series, you will be able to complete a more complex project such as a piece of clothing or structured garment work.
If you only take this class, you will make a simple beginner project such as a set of cloth napkins or a curtain panel that focuses on clean construction and repetition.
You’ll leave with:
A completed structured beginner project
A stronger understanding of seams, hems, and finishing
Confidence to move into Intermediate classes or continue independently
