Saturday August 15 | 2-4 pm
This class is designed as your introduction to sewing from the ground up.
You’ll learn how to confidently use a sewing machine, including threading, bobbin winding, troubleshooting, and understanding basic machine control. From there, we’ll move into simple stitching exercises that help you develop comfort with fabric, speed, and direction.
The focus of this level is familiarity with processes: learning how the machine feels, how fabric responds, and how you begin to use both easily.
You’ll be able to complete a small finished project - a tote, set of cloth napkins, or little pouch - if you decide to take only this class. If you decide to attend an intermediate class afterwards, such as a makeup bag or quilted bow bag workshop, you will be able to use the foundational skills from the intro class, to complete a more complex project by building on it each time!
I’m always happy to work with you on a longer project like bikinis, garments, or in private lessons as well.
You’ll leave with:
A completed beginner project
Foundational machine sewing skills
Confidence to move into Beginner II or continue independently
Studio address + directions will be sent via email after booking.
Our studio is located in Golden Hill, San Diego.
When booking, make sure you use an email you can access, as all correspondence from the studio will go to that email.
