This class is designed as your introduction to watercolor painting from the ground up.
We'll cover the foundational techniques that make watercolor such a unique and versatile medium, including color mixing, brush control, layering, washes, and creating depth and texture. Through a series of guided exercises, you'll learn how watercolor behaves on paper and how to work with it rather than against it.
The focus of this class is building confidence and familiarity with the medium. You'll gain an understanding of the basic tools, techniques, and principles needed to begin painting on your own while creating a finished piece to take home.
You’ll leave with:
A completed watercolor painting
Foundational watercolor techniques and skills
Confidence to continue practicing independently
No prior experience is necessary. All materials are provided.

Our studio is located in Golden Hill, San Diego.
